ALAYA's policy on the use of personal information
Your personal information is an important piece of property, and should be managed safely at all times. Personal information is also an important asset for ALAYA—an important ingredient in the new values we create.

4. Purposes for use of personal information
In the event that ALAYA collects personal information, the company's purposes for use of personal information is made clear in advance, and the information is only used within the bounds of the stated purpose. If it becomes necessary to use the information in excess of the purpose stated in advance, ALAYA will contact the pertinent individuals and obtain their approval.
Please refer to the Purposes for Use of Personal Information for details as pertaining to personal information held by ALAYA. Customers are invited to read section (1); those wishing to apply for staff positions, section (2); and those wishing to apply for positions as translator, checker, editor or audio transcriber, section (3).
Fields for entering personal information are divided into compulsory (marked with an asterisk) and optional categories. But please note that electing not to provide some optional information may disable the company from properly evaluating your application. Nationality (or country of birth), education and employment history are particularly sensitive matters, and ALAYA will use such information only if you agree and fill in these fields.
5. Outsourcing; supply of personal information
ALAYA will not disclose or provide personal information to any third party except in the circumstances set forth below. ALAYA may, however, outsource the handling of personal information to ALAYA Europe, GmbH, a subsidiary of ALAYA INC. , insofar as this is necessary in order to achieve the aforementioned purpose of use.

Upon advance approval for the pertinent individuals.

The information is disclosed or provided pursuant to law.
3)
The disclosure or supply of information is necessary for the protection of human life, person or property, and there is difficulty in obtaining approval from the pertinent individual.
4)
The handling of personal information is outsourced insofar as this is necessary in order to achieve the aforementioned purpose of use.
5)
The information is disclosed or provided in conjunction with succession of business, including but not limited to merger, spinning off, transfer of business or other cause.
6. Request procedures for disclosure, etc.
ALAYA endeavors to comply with requests on private information from its owners with regard to the following:

Discontinuation of use or suspension of providing to third parties refer to the Request Procedures for Disclosure, etc. for request forms (in written) and further details. Please note that disclosure requests and so forth will be charged.

8. Miscellaneous
1)
Some ALAYA services are not available in absence of personal information from the pertinent individual.
2)
ALAYA does not collect personal information using cookies or other methods not easily discerned by the pertinent individual.
3)
If you are under sixteen years of age, be sure to gain the approval of a caregiver before providing your personal information.
4)
Any material changes and other notices will be posted on this web page.
5)
ALAYA may revise its privacy policy (how to handle private information) in conjunction with amendments to relevant laws in order to better protect your privacy.
